The remote private GP consultation service, in partnership with Health Hero, is able to offer two kinds of documents to be completed. These are detailed below.
Documents the service can complete
Fit Notes
If requested during your appointment, the GP can issue a short term fit note (also known as a sick note or MED3) to allow an employer to arrange sick pay for you during your absence. The fit note will be for a maximum of 2 weeks, and we cannot issue extensions.
We can only issue fit notes if you have provided your regular GP contact details, and are resident in the UK.
Open referral letters
As an outcome of a consultation we can produce an open referral letter. This will detail information shared with the doctor during your consultation, and will contain recommendations of the kind of consultant or department you need to approach to continue testing and treatment under consultant care.
We cannot refer you for a specific test or scan to take place, as we are not able to provide ongoing care. You would need a regular GP or consultant to coordinate testing and then manage any ongoing treatment as required.
β
As a private medical service, we are not able to refer into any NHS services or hospitals.
Documents the service cannot complete
Other than the two specific document types listed above, our service is not able to complete any other kind of document request at present.
This includes, but not limited to:
Visa applications and medicals
Academic Sick notes for university or school
Confirmation of an existing medical condition
Fit to participate
Fit to fly / travel
Employment medicals
Gun licence renewals
D4 licence medicals
We are hoping to be able to offer these document types in the future, and our website will be updated when these kinds of documents are available to complete.
β
Please do not book an appointment to request these documents to be completed, as your document will not be completed and you will not be able to request a refund as the doctor will have attended your appointment.
